But it completesNot sure then, The Diff job took as long as the FULL. I was trying to cut down the time and tapes used. I know we arent accessing that many files so the job should really fit on 1 tape. thanks for the replyCant do Differential backup since my FULL always shows fail. But it completes Just started trying to do a differential backup to save time. I'm up to 3 tapes and I thought it would be wise to do a bi-weekly full and a weekly Diff. Well this won’t work since my FULLalways shows errors. Like "remote agent couldn’t start or Folder/file location not found. I know the job is successful becauseit has a bazillion files processed and I've ran a test restore on random files. This job is for a NAS box that I call Storage. It's just a network share that we use for misc project files and data. I don’t think 11d likes going across the network for this job, but it seems to work. Ihave seen a registry fix that lets you make all jobs successful. Is this what I need to do to get around a failed FULL so the DIFF will work? thanks SBS2003 locks up all of a sudden. Put jobs on hold and turned backup off. Seemed to fix it. For no reason the server becomes un-responsive. No keyboard, mouse or monitor. It started happening early in the morning around 4am and in the afternoon around 1:30pm. The backup is set to run around 4:30 pm. The only way to get the server back is to hard boot. I've installed all the latest updates and hotfixes for BE11d. I turned the backup unit back on but have left the jobs disabled to see if it happens again. Any ideas? thanks Backup now asking for another tape and getting strange message..... My backup now needs 2 tapes. I get this message after I put in the second tape. It is recommended that you rerun the Intelligent Disaster Recovery Preparation Wizard and select "Copy - Disaster recovery information. What is this????? Then it asks for the original tape. I still cant tell if I'm getting a good backup now. Shouldnt compression be able to handle the 191gb I have on my server? I have VXA320 which says it can go to 320gb. thanks Re: 0xE0008523 Snapshot provider error I've had the same issue ever since they told me to turn on Advanced File Open... to fix another error...
