Harddrive goes offline as write starts, BE2014, Server 2008R2
Hi, we have a Backup2Disk job that fails every time with our external Harddrives (WD 4TB). The job starts, snapshots are beeing done but as soon as the writing to disk starts the harddrive goes "offline" and immediatly comes back up. http://i.imgur.com/t5r4ARB.png In the windows-eventlog you can see the entries as follows in order: 15:29:35 Drive: Write() WriteFile failed 0/64 @421747 (F:\BEData\B2D000319.bkf). Error=21 15:29:35 Backup Exec-Meldung: Medienfehler (Server: "EPBUS02") Der Datenträger ist offline. (Media error, storag medium is offline) 15:29:35 Berichteter Fehler: Das Gerät ist nicht bereit. (Reportet error: Device is not Ready) 15:29:37 Changer: MoveMedium() Attempt to Dismount to Already Loaded Slot (B2D000319). Error=1 15:29:37 Der Auftrag schlug mit folgendem Fehler fehl: Kein Medium im Speichergerät vorhanden. (Job failed with error: No media in storage-device 15:29:37 Der VSS-Dienst wird aufgrund eines Leerlaufzeitlimits heruntergefahren. (VSS-Service was shutdown due to runtime-limit) This happened in BE2012 and in the 2014 Version installed/updated today. The Harddrives have been swapped, reformatted, and reintegrated in BE with no success. Windows copys even with very large files works without error. Server is a Dell Poweredge R520, Windows Server 2008R2. Harddrives are WD Elements Black 4TB.
