Windows Does Not Recognize Ibm Lto3 3580
I'm trying to install a new Tape IBM 3580 in my server. I'm runing Windows 2003 in a HP ML110 G2, but I can't figure out how to get this working. I've attached Tape SCSI interface at Adaptec 2120S. During boot process, SCSI Card recognize new tape device. After installed driver from IBM site just appear Tape Bus Enumerator, not Tape Unit. I'm using CA Brighstor to manage, but, if Windows does not recognize, I can't use in Brightstor. Lto 3 tapes
Client - Media - PureDisk Linux network traffic
Hello everyone. We have a backup solution and I am trying to find a bottleneck. Configuration is as follows: Veritas SFHA clustered Master server running NBU 7.5.0.6 on RHEL6.1. Number of Media servers. And 3 pairs of PureDisk 6.5.5 pools as a storage servers. My concern is: How does network traffic flow during backup assuming clientside deduplication is enabled? I tried tcpdump and appears that it is client - media - puredisk and vica-versa. But there are nbstproxy processes. Appreciate on any assistance. Thank you.Solved4.1KViews0likes2Comments
How to remove a Quick i/o file on solaris?
Hi All , we have a running solaris and veritas quick i/o files for oracle 9i database . The files no longer exist in the database but somehow exist in the file system . how to do restore of only modified files after a full restore in Puredisk 6.6.3
HI, I have client request to restore modified file only after a full restore done previously. Universal Restore
Hello all, This is my first post ever to a forum and I believe it's a bit of a problem. I work for a small IT Support firm. We have a customer that has a few C&C machines that run from the blueprints and software off of Window 7 machines. We were notified by manufacture of the machines there is a voltage flux in the machines that are prone to destorying the PCs connected to the machine. Our customer would like us to take an image of the computers and be able to reinstall the images taken on new hardware, computers that have different hardware configurations, all without losing any information, programs and computer OS. I'm looking for ideas on how this can be done. I've read it can be done, just not sure how to approach the problem, so I'm looking for some ideas. According to p220 in the "Symantec NetBackup PureDisk™ Backup Operator Guide Release 6.6.4" and my own experiance (on other SPA's). The SMTP setting for event/policy escalations is set in the Gui at Settings>Configuration>Configuration File Templates> PureDisk Server Agent> Default ValueSet for Puredisk Server Agent>mail>smtpserver This is seperate from the SMTP settings in the Puredisk topology. When I attempt to change the IP of the SMTP server I get an error. I have also tried deleting the entry and recreating it but get a similiar outcome. I looked through the Puredisk CLI manual but can not find a CLI way of changing this setting. Here is what the error looks like In the web page. PureDisk Agent for Windows uninstallation fails.
Hi all, I have a customer with a Win2003 64 bits server which has PDagent 6.6.x installed, Trying to uninstall it, using remove programs from Control Panel, it asks for the .msi package. It refers to a users folder which does not exist anymore. So, question is: What can I do to remove PD agent? I want to install NBU 7.6.x.x to use Client-Side dedupe instead.
