Hello, I would like to create VCS commands from main.cf file. I would like to do the following command to dump the main.cf to main.cmd in temp directory. hacf -cftocmd /etc/VRTSvcs/conf/config -dest /tmp Would it affect any of the configuraiton? Reset Password of VCS User in Secure Cluster.
Dear All, Greetings! Recently i have added a VCS user in one of our VCS Cluster which in running in secure mode to access the Java Console. However i did not find any option to set a password for the same. After going thru some article i tried to #hauser -update <user name> however this option is not available for hauser command. I need your support to resolve the issue. VCS Setup - "Install A Clustered Master Server" Greyed Out
I originally posted this in the NetBackup forum but it seems to be a VCS issue that is the root of the problem: https://www-secure.symantec.com/connect/forums/install-clustered-master-server-greyed-out I am trying to set up a test NBU 7.6.0.1 master server cluster with VCS on Windows Server 2008 R2but the option to "install a clustered master server" is greyed out. I have built2 new servers, installed SFHA / VCS 6.0.1and configured disks / volumes / disk groups / VVR replication. The VCS installation has not been modified or customised in any way as from my understanding the NBU installation will create its own service group. I have carried out the initial configuration and added the remote cluster node. Within cluster explorer, the defaultClusterService service group is all up and running, the global cluster option is enabled andthe remote cluster status also shows that the other cluster is up. Marianne has alreadyasked me to run two commands with the following output: 'gabconfig -a' - "GAB gabconfig ERROR V-15-2-25022" lltconfig -nvv - "LLT lltconfig ERROR V-14-2-15000 open \\.\llt failed: error number: 0x2" I've probably just made a silly mistake somewherebut I can't figure outwhat piece of the puzzle I have missed - any ideas?Solved4.5KViews1like37CommentsRegarding resource online operations
Hi, Suppose, a resouce got faulted in a SG and I need to make it online. Shall I have to do in this way? hagrp -clear <group> [-sys] <host> <sys> and then online the service group hagrp -online <group> -sys <sys> OR by this way? 1.Flush the SG, hagrp -flush <group> -sys <system> 2.Clear the faulted resource hares -clear <resource> [-sys] 3.Online it, hares -online <resource> [-sys] Do flushing of the SG required? From my understanding , if we want to use NIC resources in diffrent SGs, You create a dedicated SG for the NIC and use that Resource in other applications as dependency. Am I right? Hi, I am newbi to VCS. OS is Solaris10. Two node cluster env. New filesystem already created and mounted with dedicated Vertual IP and is already under VCS. We have added two more Vol's (Vol03 & Vol04) in the existing Resource Group say 'node1_rg' Guys, please help me out to know the sequential and step by step procedure with commands to take the newly created Volumes under existing Resource Group......and how to carry out the Failover Test. this is a test server on which we need to do the task. Oracle Database is also there and we can coordinate with App & DBA team to do this activity...... Pleaseeeeeeee help. this is first time I had been to this forum seeking the help... I have a quick question regarding service group offline. We only want to bring up/down services when we execute hagrp -online/-offline manually. When VCS shutdown, we don't want to bring up the service offline. I know if we freeze it won't go to offline entry. Do we have any other option? For an exmaple, for only we can disable the autostart. Hello, We are managing few applicaitons using VCS, but one of the application needs to restart manually every day, but we don't do that. Applicaiton team restart the application outside the cluster and since the resource is not ciritcal, application goes to offline. Because of this our SG always shows as partial online. We don't want to show the resouce as offline since application is manually started, how can we make the resource online automatically? We don't want to see SG as partial offline as well.
