Working in a production environment integrating Exchange 2007 EV10.0.4 wih Macs Office 2011. (Windows EV and Outlook 2010 already funstioning) I have searched these KB's on Symantec and cannot see an article specifically answering why after installing the DMG and hotfix 2 EV 10.0.4 the menubar options are all greyed out except: "Enterprise Vault Preferences" "Enterprise Vault Help Topics" "About Enterprise Vault" After logging into Outlook with an account setup script enabling online mail acocunt the toolbar or Ribbon is not appearing in Outlook either. The macs are 10.9.2 Mavericks and bound to the domain with valid Kerberos ticket in the /Library/System/CoreServices/TicketViewer. So how do the accounts verify authorisation on mac EV clients, I was hoping it was Kerbeors? Thanks for looking at this. Regards MattSolved1.5KViews1like4CommentsMavericks and Outlook 2011 for Mac
We have recently upgraded our EV to 10.0.4. We have installed the Outloook plugin to a Mac running Mavericks and Outlook 2011 Version 14.3.0 (121105). I can manually store and restore but the mail icons do not change on the Mac, they do change if you load up the same account within Outlook 2010 on a windows device. Hi. We have users who receive delegation to other users emails. Our domain policy is vaulting the emails after 90 days. When the user goes into the vaulted emails that have been vaulted under someone else's username, they are not able to download the attachments. It seems like the text is viewable, but not the attachments - which is a big deal because a lot of what we do is being emailed to us in either pdf or jpg format. We are using Ent Vault v10.2. Even when the user is given the permissions on the exchange server for delegation AND permission to open the vaulted item, they still cannot get the attachment. Has anyone else seen this before? Any help would be greatly appreciated!Solved708Views0likes1CommentEnterprise Vault HTTP-only Add-In tab disappears - Outlook 2010
The tab on Outlook 2010 disappears when the user reboots at the end of the day and returns in the morning. Running a repair or re-installing almost always restore the tab, but this problem is consistent with this user (maybe others). Raised the logging level to 3 and below is what I think is the fail log. We are not getting the EventID 8785 telling us that The Directory service has started the automatic upgrade of the EnterpriseVaultDirectory database. We are now waiting for event 8576 to be logged in the Enterprise Vault event log: The Directory service has completed the automatic upgrade of the EnterpriseVaultDirectory Database. I’m running into one hold up with how I need to use the Vault of a Shared Mailbox. When logged into Outlook as the shared mailbox profile everything works as expected, I can move emails into the Vault, delete emails in the Vault, etc. However, when I’m logged into Outlook with my individual profile I cannot add emails to the shared mailbox vault. I can see At the very minimum I need to be able to have everyone with access to the shared mailbox be able to put emails into the shared vault while logged into outlook under their individual profiles. Ideally all shared mailbox users would also be able to delete email from the shared mailbox vault while logged into with their individual profiles. Is it possible to set the Vault up this way? Thanks. - S. N.Solved2.6KViews0likes7Commentsquestion regarding Vault store service account in exchange 2003/2010 org.
Got a Question regarding VS service account. A company got one Exchange 2003 and one 2010. In near future they are going to migrate to the exchange 2010.First they are going to start archiving mail from ex2003 and after that do the migration. Right now im doing my part planning for an upgrade of EV to v10 and was reading about the exchange throttling policy for exchange 2010. I read in the installing and configuration guide for EV 10 that have to move the EV SA mbox to the ex2010 an run the powershell script(setevthrottlingpolisy.ps). Now my question: do I need/can I move the EV SA account back to exch 2003 without any problems? Or is it ok to have the EV SA account on the ex 2010 and still start archiving on ex 2003? As i understand it´s ok as long as EV system MboX exist on both Exch. servers and send as permision is granted to EV SA account. Am I right?Solved820Views0likes5CommentsManaged Retention Folders and Expiry
Hello All, I have a quick question and I am new to EV so please bare with me. Currently our organization has a default retention policy for all messages that retains forever and Expiry is disabled. Exchange 2007 Managed Custom Folders have been deployed and have synchronized with EV. My question is, if the managed folder has a retention of 2 years and a user moves a non-archived message (older then two years) from a PST into this managed folder and is then archived by EV, will the message be deleted or will the default retention policy apply? Thanks. JSSolved621Views0likes1Comment
