Data Insight User Activity Deviation/Monitoring/Trigger - Access denied or reads?
I have a potential client who is asking about the User Activity Deviation functionality of Data Insight. They want to know if it can trigger alerts based on number of access attempts or denies? I know it can trigger based on access or read attempts and there are thresholds for that. But they want it to trigger on access denied and just accessattempts. I know the read/writes and other things are monitor but could not find anything in the 4.5 admin guide on that specifically and do not have access to the DI console at the moment. Thanks! Hi, I am trying to determine what precisely some of my DI reports are telling me. Specifically, related to the Access details report, it is my understanding that SharePoint audit logsdifferentiate between a "view" (e.g.,going to a site or a library) and a "read" (e.g.,opening an item on a site or a library), but it does not appear that DI access reports maintain that distinction- everything appears to be a "read". So the question is: does DI differentiate between "view" and "read" events in SharePoint (2010). If so, can we create a report that shows who has accessed a SharePoint site, but not read anything? Thanks.2.7KViews4likes1CommentDI Reporting Issue
I attempted to add my questionsas acomment on a similar DI Reporting Issue forum, but I'm not sure if my response was received. Here is my question: I have ran into a couple issues with reporting in DI: Is there a way to display more than the top 5 of users when the “include custom attributes of user” radio button is selected? To put this into context, see the attached report titled "Raw-AccessSummary.xlsx". In this scenario, I have selected toshowTitle and Country, but it only shows the information for the "Top Users". Stemming from the first question, I've noticed that outputsgenerated by reports with the same queries, but in different categories, yield different results. To put this into context, see the attached report titled "Raw-InactiveUsers.xlsx". In this situation, I've selected Titleand Country and itdisplays all oftheInactive Users; however, in the Access Summary report (first attachment) when I selected the same thing, it onlydisplays the top users (as stated above). Please let me know if there is a quick fix to these issues, and thanks for your help!! Evan **all sensitive information was removed from the reportsSolved844Views0likes1Comment
