Integrating Data Insight With Enterprise Vault
Hello, I am attempting to integrate Data Insight with Enterprise Vault. On the Data Insight server I: Click on Settings. Click on Data Mangement. Enter the IP address of the EV server. I had used port 443 but I was having issues connecting the the EV server. Can you confirm that the port is 443? Hello all, We are in the middle of a Symantec DLP / Data Insight integration at the moment. Right now we are in early phase 1 data aquisition. Currently I have gone through all the steps to connect/test connections from DLP to DI and import proper certs and such and the test connects are succeeding. However, during review of incidents with the client they noticed the "Go to Data Insight Console" Clicking on it simply takes you to a browser warning page. I imported the cert into IE but then it only takes us to the Data Insight login page. Within the link there seems to be additional redirect information its trying to pass and the customer says they were told it provides a link to the Filer/File information of that incident. Is this the case? When I do a properties of that link its https://ms240dlpins01.XXXXX.XX/_redirect?filer_name=MS240CORP07&share_name=E%24&path_name=%2FSSCS-MASPRC%2FBSCC%20Pricing%20Archived%20PST%20Files%2F2008%2FFarrar%202008%20N%20-%20Z.pst&object_type=file&page_type=data_owner&client=dlp%40MS240DLPENF01.XX.XXX.net If so is there any other additional docs other than the admin guide that step through getting that to work? Attaching a screenshot of where its located. If its only a link going to the Console login why does it try to pass additional redirect info? I also tried this while logged in and it still only directs to console. Thank you, NathanSolved1.5KViews0likes1CommentEV Discovery Accelerator - Reports Requesting Credentials
A quick-fire question: Each time I run a report for the first time from within the EV DA Client (10.0.4), I am requested to enter the credentials to connect to the SQL Reporting Server. I enter the same credentails as the user I am logged on as and away we go !! I am OK running any other reports within the same session, but once I end the DA session and reconnect I need to enter the credentials again. Also, every time I select to export data to PDF/Excel I am asked for credentials. Is there some way I can set this up so it doesn't ask me for credentails the first time I run a report in each session ? Thanks, AJSolved879Views1like7CommentsEV Discovery Accelerator - EV Versions
After reviewing the requirements for EV base software (Services or API) to be installed prior to EVDA I am not 100% as to the versions allowed. I have an EV server running 10.0.1, which will be upgraded to 10.0.4 over the coming months. I will be installing EVDA shortly (before the EV 10.0.4 upgrade) and therefore want to install 10.0.4 on the DA server to save work in the future. I know that EVDA can be at a later version than EV itself, but does this include the services/API installed on the EVDA server ? In summary, I would like to do the following: EV Server has 10.0.1 installed and running (mailbox/journal/FSA archiving) New EVDA server - install EV 10.0.4 services or API runtime , install EVDA 10.0.4 Is this OK, or do I need to install the 10.0.1 services or API runtime on the new EVDA server Thanks, AJ.Solved656Views0likes2CommentsCA 9.0 client authentication
In prior versions of CA client login was via a web driven interface via HTTP and IIS would authenticate the user to AD. Since version 8.0 and above it's been a client/server model and full client app. I have 2 questions about client authentication: 1. I've noticed when I launch the CA client it is doing integrarted windows (pass-through) authentication. Does the client send the authentication request to the CA server which contacts AD, or does the client itself reach out to AD? 2. What if a reviewer/admin needs to log in with a different CA profile than the one associated with the windows account s/he is logged in to the workstation with. Is there a way to set that up, for example so that CA client pops up a login window? I Would appreciate anyone who has more info on these. Thanks, FremontSolved631Views0likes2Comments
