sharepoint archiving requirement
i will configure SharePoint archiving and there's some confusion regarding SharePoint certificate according to the KB. The certificate used by the SharePoint virtual server or web application must have the same name as the SharePoint URL. For example, if the SharePoint URL is https://sharepoint, then the name of the certificate used when issuing a certificate request must be SharePoint. If the names do not match, Enterprise Vault will not be able to validate the SharePoint site when you try to configure it in the Administration Console. i need more clarification on thisSolved1.4KViews0likes3CommentsEV and Migration of SharePoint 2007 to 2010
Hi, We have a customer who is planing to migrate SharePoint 2007 to 2010. They are using EV 9.0.3 in their environment. The 2010 farm will be installed on new server but it will use the old name. EV SharePoint archiving is now in place with versioning, and i would like to know what would be the steps so that existing archives work on a new SharePoint farm. Thanks in advance. Danke T.A.636Views0likes2CommentsSharePoint-Benachrichtigungen nach SharePoint-Archivierung
Hi We have backup exec archiving a network share and our users would like to have that location as an available search location in sharepoint. I setup a federated search in sharepoint and it seems to be indexing only items that have not been archived yet, it wont even index the names of the archived items. After some googling it looks like Enterprise Vault might have an api or something that sharepoint can send search queries to. Is this possible? I have been having trouble finding information on it. If any sharepoint module for EV is required, we do have EV archiving sharepoint items so I am assuming we have the stuff for that.370Views0likes1CommentSharePoint Connections anyone?

What version of SharePoint are you running? In our webcast yesterday (watch the replay HERE), we were suprised that so many folks were still on MOSS 2003 versus MOSS 2007. Are the 2003 users waiting for 2010 to be released or is your upgrade path going to go to 2007 first and then 2010 later?980Views0likes4CommentsWhat's the demand/use case for manual, data based, or archiving versions from SharePoint?
Have you taken a look at the videos we've posted to the SharePoint backup and archiving group? Join the group to watch these short, all-demo videos on manual archiving, archiving based by date, and turning on version pruning. Move files off your SharePoint servers, out of SQL and onto lower tiered storage. This will free up your storage, improve SQL performance while maintaining access to archived SharePoint files.
