Netbackup and 3PAR
I'm looking to use NBU 7.5 to handle our VM backups in our infrastructure which uses 3PAR F400 for storage. I've checked the compat lists and it looks like some elements are compatible but some are not. Can anyone offer advice on this if they are either currently using this setup or have came across this before? The infrastructure is all W2K200x and we would be looking to do integrated backups of Exchange and Sharepoint as well as the usual file data. Thanks.Solved1.8KViews0likes5CommentsSharePoint backup job failed, status 71.
Hi all, Just to share my issue and the solution. I had a SharePoint farm with 2 servers : one for IIS, second for SQL. I configured my SharePoint Backup under NBU 7.5.0.4 as requested in Netbackup For SharePoint Admin Guide. I launched my backup, 3 jobs were created : parent, SQL data (on SQL Server), dans Global Settings and Search (on IIS server). SQL job finished with status code 0, IIS jobs finished with satus 71. I searched a lot in docs, forum, without answers... and... I found this TECH195147about code 1 under SharePoint. I thought that it was not same problem but it was... For the same issue, you have code 1 if your SharePoint server is SQL and IIS, and if you have 2 different servers, IIS job will return status code 71. So, I have created this post for people who search "sharepoint 71" :) Regards PS : Sorry for my english :-/1KViews1like3CommentsAfter upgrading to BE 2012 Sharepoint jobs fails, Access Denied.

But the the job runs and it failes, when I the go in and check the credentials again they failed. Any one else with this problem? BackUp Exec 2010 r3 SharePoint 2010 Agent for Microsoft SharePoint A while back my SharePoint backup job started to fail. I opened up a ticket with Symantec with no success. What I realized is once I ran the powershell command "psconfigui" to update the configuration and content databases for SharePoint that the job ran without issue for 2 days or so. Then it would error again. Job ended: Sunday, September 30, 2012 at 10:01:17 PM Completed status: Failed Final error: 0xe0009b61 - The logon account that was provided does not have valid credentials. Ensure that the user name and password are correct, and then try again. Final error category: Security Errors For additional information regarding this error refer to link V-79-57344-39777 I would then run the "psconfigui" and it will run without issue for about 2 days. Has anyone seen this before? Does anyone have and ideas or solution?1.1KViews0likes6CommentsSharepoint GRT meta data index catalog very very slow

Background: So we have Backup Exec 2012 and two Data Domain DD620's. We have all the required licensing including the Data Domain DD Boost and replication licenses. I have installed the Open Storage Technology (OST) plugin 2.5.0.3 as suggested for the version of BE. Both DD boxes are visable and connected to my BE server. I have foud some documentation and a video that explains some of what I am looking for but not entirely and most of it is for BE2010. The BE 2012 documentation from DD is not up to date yet. I am trying to setup backups as my tape drive has had enough and is not working properly. Anyone I have talked to just says you backup to it, then I continue finding little things that need to be done. No verify, no precompression, some said no deduplication in the job, other said server side dedupe because DDBoost manages it with OST plugin. Too much information and not enough people knowing what to tell me. The DD weekend support guys don't know the software titles they just know the hardware. I need help now unfortunately... Question: What settings do I use for Backups? I have Active Directory, Exchange, SharePoint, and SQL agents.6.4KViews1like32CommentsWhat is the highest version of Backup Exec System Restore for SBS2003?
Hello all, I have an SBS2003 with BESR v8.5. I like the software, but MS is telling me the drivers included in v8.5 can cause system instability. We are considering an upgrade if available. Thanks, -JohnSolved701Views1like2CommentsBE_ST Tool, VxGather and tracer.exe viewer

Hi! I've recently had to reinstall our BE2010 R3 setup on a new server, ever since I've not been able to select our Sharepoint 2007 farm, I keep getting this error: "None of the web servers for the specified server farm could be accessed" This happens when I try to add the server farm to the list. What I find most curious is, before I could just browse the sharepoint server, and it would detect the sharepoint farm automatically. What just happened?942Views0likes6Comments
