Catalogue jobs failed - data inconsistent on each tape?? V-79-57344-33994
Hello, i haveto restore an old backup (created with backup exec 10 i guess). For this restore i use Backup Exec 2010 R3 on Server 2008 R2. There are no entries for this backup in the catalog. So i loaded all tapes for this backup (20x LTO4 containing one backup) in my 24-Slot loader and inventorized them. After that i created catalogue jobs for each tape, starting with the first one. After 2 hours and about 800gb data the job on tape 1 failed with the error (translated): V-79-57344-33994 - Data read from media is not consistent. All other tapes failed with the same error. I can browse the data of the first tape and restore some of the items (others have a red cross). All other tapes are not in the catalogue, so i cant browse them. What i tried: * cleaning drive * checking statistic data for all tapes (0 errors) * Under BE Options > catalogue > disabled request all media in a row (translated) * enabled debugging May the first tape be broken? Is there a possibility to check the contents of all other tapes? I'm doing something wrong? Recently I discovered that our monthly backup has been using the wrong encryption key. I still have the pass-phrase for the key that was used, so I can recover the data, but now I am wondering how many other month end backups were ran under the wrong key. Is there any way to determine which key was used for a backup? I have searched the job logs (the logs on the server and the ones that were emailed to me), but I cannot find out which key was used. Any advice is welcome. Thanks in advance.Solved486Views0likes3Commentsinstall backup exec agent on windows 10

I installed B.Exec 2010 SP4 on Windows 2008 Server. SQL sErver 2008 is also installed. The database maintenance has never succeeded; it fails every day. The error says " Performed database consistency check for BEDB database. Maintenance has failed: 11," The reference/fix in the job failure points to article V-287-11 which says to connect to BEDB via OSQL. I have done so and the output does not indicate any errors as indicated by below. "CHECKDB found 0 allocation errors and 0 consistency errors in database 'BEDB'. DBCC execution completed. If DBCC printed error messages, contact your system administrator" BEUtility fails on all efforts including: Repair database - error of "Database repair of server ended with errors" Dump database - error of "Dump database to disk failed. Database utility for server ended with errors" Recover database - error of "There is no BEDB.BAK to recover from. What are my options? Note: This is a new install.
