SSR 2013 - ReFS support, when?
When is SSR 2013 Server Edition going to support volumes formatted as ReFS for full/incremental recovery points? BTW the discussion creation form doesn't include "Windows Server 2012" in the dropdown list of Operating systems, only Server 2003 and 2008 is there.478Views0likes4CommentsSystem Recovery Manager connects on second attempt

I was advised to repost this topic here by Symantec... All I have got left is the external drive, (USB, 1000 GB), containing the backups. I wasn't unduly worried – after all this is why you have backups isn't it? The computer was fairly old and had two IDE drives with Windows 7 and a matching motherboard with an older type of RAM. The backup was made with Ghost 12 – I had no idea that it had become obsolete. I bought a new computer with two SATA drives. Apparently IDE drives and matching motherboards boards are no longer made. I booted from the SRD but the machine couldn't see the USB drive. I installed Windows 7 and then it could see the USB drive when I booted from the SRD. I told to restore the C drive after which it wouldn't boot from the drive. I subsequently chatted with Symantec support who told me that if I installed the appropriate Ghost application on the new machine it would be possible to restore from my USB drive. The agent insisted that in the whole of Symantec there was not a single remaining copy of any version of ghost… I managed to find a "Try and buy" copy of Ghost 15. Will this work? If not what can I do? The chatline agent did not know the answer to these questions and referred me to this forum. David3.9KViews0likes27CommentsRansomware - Encrypted backups
Hi Guys, one of the servers have been hit with ransomware, they have encrypted all files and folders including the last good backup, there is no offsite backup and this is the real only hope to get our info back. The backup was done the night before the attack and no further backups have taken place. All files are now encrypted with .roger extension I can rename the files back to readable .v2i format, but when trying to open them it fails, not sure if they corrupted or if just not doing it right. Are there other tools out there that can retrieve content information of .v2i backups? Hoping for good news...Thanks in advance741Views0likes1CommentSystem recovery E-Mail notifcation

Hi all, I have installed on my VM (Windows Server 2016) VSR Management Solution 21 and now I would like to create some backup policies to centrally manage backup. However, I am not able to create any backup policy - when I click on "create" string I got this error message - 404 Not Found We are sorry but we could not find what you were looking for - see attached picture 1. I have no idea what is wrong and how to troubleshoot this issue. It is completely weird as I am able to add new client computers to MS and I can deploy VSR plug in to client computers. Do you have any suggestion what to check? Could it be an issue with the database server? Should I apply NFR license for example? Are there any associated logs? Thanks for any help.Solved2.1KViews0likes7Comments
