HELP!!! CANT RESTORE WINDOWS 7
Hallo. Experts, geeks, MVP’s,J I hope you people can help. We currently have a very big problem. Suddenly we cannot backup and restore any windows 7 pc. Our image is deployed with software central. It’s both x86 and x64 image. Our server that deployed the image is a Microsoft server 2012 . So our system partition is 350 mb and c drive the remaining space. There are non-backup programs that can restore it. We have used: Symantec v.11 /v. 13 Snapshot. Acronis. Hdclone We have tried all sorts of setting in bios and so on. The funny thing is that a windows xp is no problem. Even if we install a windows 7 by hand from a DVD. No problem. Our other department have build there image a bit different. There is no system partition. It’s all on the c drive. That is also working fine to restore. We even tried to build the BCD from scratch. With no luck. We have sent one of our pc’s to snapshot in Germany they also could not restore it. Our hardware is HP elitedesk from 8100 to the newest 800 g1 its business pc. So they have all got a tpm chip installed. So guys what could we have missed. What could possibly be the problem???Solved3.1KViews2likes16CommentsProblem with installaton of SIM 7.6 on Server 2012
Hello, I have tried many ways to install SIM 7.6 on Windows Server 2012 but with absolutely no success. I want to manage our system, which has about 50 PC's backed up with SSR 2013, but I am not able to install Installation Manager first. Here is the error message: What can be the reason for this error ??381Views0likes1CommentImpossible de faire une sauvegarde de disque avec SSR 2013 R2
Merci.740Views0likes2CommentsProblem Symantec Backup Recovery 2013 with HP Proliant DL360p
Hi All, I've HP Proliant DL360p with a single partition (C:\) and also an hidden partition unallocated 100mb. I've installed Symantec Backup Recovery 2013 and when I try to run a backup, I don't find C:\ partition on the software, only the hidden partition. Do you have any suggestion? Below I've attached the part info file. Details: 0xE4F3000E This is what we have already done: - In Trend Micro Antivirus we have excluded the Symantec folder - attached new external USB Drives - removed old Devices from the device list - created new backup jobs - split the jobs, one for each drive - changed backup start time - turned encryption on/off - weekly defrag of drives (max. 3-4% fragmentation) - manually creating a shadowcopy works OK - ran C:\Program Files\Symantec\Symantec System Recovery\Fixinstall.bat Additional information: > vssadmin list providers: "Microsoft Software Shadow Copy provider 1.0" (should be standard for 2013 version) - If we run "vssadmin list writers", many appear in a " bad state" and we only can fix this with a server restart. - After the server restart, every writer is fine and the backup works for a few days (max 1 week) - However, if you log onto the server and manually start the backup, it works! Only the scheduled job aborts after 10 minutes. Any ideas or tips on what we can do to try and resolve this problem? Many thanks.776Views0likes1CommentFirst Backup image to external HDD getting Error ED800012 SSR 2013

booting from a cloned hard on a laptop
Hi, I cloned a linux CentOS hard drive of a server PC which included a LVM. Then I connected my external hard to the usb port of my laptop. I wanted to boot my laptop from the CentOS of external hard so i could use the programs which were installed on PC.So I restarted the laptop and press F11 button to select the desired OS. I can see the CentOS of external hard but when select it the following message appears: ========================================= Booting 'CentOS (2.6.18-308.24.1.e15)' root (hd0,0) Filesystem type is ext2fs, partition type 0x83 kernel /vmlinuz-2.6.18-308.24.1.e15 ro root=/dev/VolGroup00/LogVol00 rhgb quiet [Linux-bzImage, setup=0x1e00, size=0x1cf514] initrd /initrd 0 0x37e62000, 0x18d36e bytes] Memory for crash kernel (0x0 to 0x0) notwithin permissible range Red Hat nash version 5.1.19.6 starting unable to access resume device (/dev/VolGroop00/LogVol101) mount: could not find filesystem '/dev/root' setuproot: moving /dev failed: No such file or directory setuproot: error mounting /proc: No such file or directory setuproot: error mounting /sys: No such file or directory switchroot: mount failed: No such file or directory kernel panic - not syncing: Attempted to kill init! ============================================ by the way, when i log in to windows of my laptop and use Virtual Box, i can mount both boot and lvm partition of external hard and i can see the content of lvm and the programs of my interest.but i cant run the programs. Hello, I'm having troubles with cloning a hard disk with W2000 SP3 on it. I'm usin SSR2013 60-days trial version. Tha clone would not boot and stucks at "Attempting Boot From Hard Disk (C:)" moessage. Have redused the size of the primary partition on target disk to 40GB. In the forums I found some hints on BESR 8.x, but the options mentioned there are not available in SSR 2013. I'll appreciate any suggestions.455Views2likes1Comment
