Symantec Desktop Laptop Option (SDLO) 8.0 adding Dedupe server storage pool results in Could not authenticate user
Dear Support, I'm having a problem to add in dedupe server storage pool. I have install DLO on Win Server 2012 R2 and using SQL Express 2012 For testing purpose, i'm using MYLAB\Administrator as a domain account. DLO and Thunderbird
I have a problem with DLO and Thunderbird (https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/thunderbird/). Thunderbird saves messages to files which have no extension. When DLO wants to back up such file it starts "Calculating Delta". During this task Thunderbird can't write to the file and the "Calculating Delta" takes too long if the files are large (e.g. ~ 1GB). If the problem occurs then a user has to suspend DLO Agent for a while and Thunderbird can write new data to its files. Then the user has to resume DLO Agent. It means in this case a combination of DLO and Thunderbird is useless. Is there any possibility how to avoid above problems?
Boot Wizard and USB
Symantec, I just purchased a few Optiplex 9030 computer with an Intel 1217 Ethernet Network Drivers The goal is to create a bootable USB using Ghost Boot Wizard. So I followed these instrutions videohttp://www.symantec.com/connect/videos/adding-nic-and-sata-drivers-windows-pe However, I am not able add the drivers into the database; consequently, creating a bootable usb. I keep getting this error:Failed to import driver, Failed to find any drivers to add. I looked in your support track but not finding a solution Ideas ? the files where extracted: When extracting the Intel drivers I get only 3 files a MUP Package and Setup ??? Why cant we add drivers ??? OR
DLO 8.0 Configure IO
Hey guys, I've installed DLO 8.0 on a fresh MSW2008R2, configured the Storage Location and the Edge Server, but when i try to configure the IO Server i'm getting this: All the ports are opened and the firewall is turned off. The IP is local. I've check the DLO manual and nothing. Any ideea ?
DLO 7.6 Agent MSI Install
Hello, I am trying to install the DLO agent with the MSI. The eventual goal is to install the MSI with SCCM. I am following the instructions on page 29 an 30 in teh DLO Administration Guide. When the command is run there is a popup stating to run Setup.exe. Is there a proper way to run this command with the MSI and have it work? Hi All, I have been following this article (https://support.symantec.com/en_US/article.TECH217373.html) to migrate our DLO 7.5 to a new server (both on server 2012). I have managed to get all the way to the point 12 (12) On the old Server use the following command line utility to move all clients to the new media server. From a CMDprompt from the Symantec DLOfolder: DLOCommandu -ChangeServer -M <media server> -A (Where <media server> is the name of the new Media Server) So i run the following in an administration cmd window: "C:\Program Files\Symantec\Symantec DLO\DLOCommandu.exe" -ChangeServer -M APP01 -A But i get the following result for all users: Failed to post media server notification change to <domain>\<user> Error=0x43 I have tried disabling the firewall's and AV's both ends to no avail, so any and all help is greatly appreciated.
