Implementing SQL Server Transparent Data Encyrption (TDE)
We are trying to Implement Transparent Data Encyrption (TDE) on Microsoft SQL Server 2012 Enterprise Edition (64-bit) (SP2) (11.0.5343.0) under Veritas Cluster Server 5.1 with three nodes, but have had problems. The OS is Windows 2012 R2. Has anybody been able to successfully implement TDE? If so, can you give me any advice, tips, caveats, etc.? Neither Veritas support nor Microsoft have any answers. I haven't been able to find anything posted already in this community or forums. Thank you for your help.

I need to know the licensing method if i am planning to run 4 Node Window cluster on Virtual machine. 1) Physical Machine having Dual CPU with 12 core ( Intel Xeon E5). 2) Virtual Machine having 16 vcpu each . So need to understand how many license i need to buy to create 4 node Vertias Cluster and which license type . Quick help is appreciated.

Environment Primary Site = 2 nodes OS = Windows Server 2008 R2 SFHA version = 6.1 Query: An already configured two node windows VCS cluster (6.1 version) in Windows Server 2008 R2. The cluster has been working and the only configured useris the "admin" built in account. We have a Active Directory environment and we want to integrate its users to the VCS cluster. Is it possible to do that?how to authenticate VCS environment with domain user instead of VCS built in"admin"user?.

VCS: Add a node to cluster using command line
Hi! I can't seem to find to a manuel on how to add a new node to cluster using command line utilities. The situation is as follows: I need to reinstall the OS on one of the nodes. I have successfully removed the node from cluster (now it's running only on one node). Reinstalled the OS. Installed the SFW HA. I've edited the llt and gab config files, but when I try to run "lltconfig -c" I get the following message: "LLT C:\Program Files\Veritas\comms\llt\lltconfig.exe ERROR V-14-2-15000 open \\.\llt failed: The system cannot find the file specified." Could you please advise me on how to proceed? Or maybe provide with a link to an article discribing the process. Thank you!

V-16-20062-55 SVCCopyServices:online:Failed to get the cluster id
I am getting the following error when trying to online the SVCCopyService on windows, this comes up immediately there is no delay in receiving the message in the Status window. V-16-20062-55 (SERVERNAME) SVCCopyServices:RES-SVCCopyServices:online:Failed to get the cluster id We have exactly the same resource configuration on our UNIX system and this connects without any issues. We have also been able to run the plink command in an elevated command prompt window and this can connect to the SAN and run queries so I am a bit stumped. I have attached screenshots of the testing and error logs. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated: OS - Windows 2012 R2 Standard VCS - 6.1 SAN - IBM V840

i want to uninstall SQL 2012 passive server from VCS cluster which is configured in HA
HI Team, In my environment i have SQL 2012 server in active and passive mode. This is configured in VCS cluster in HA. Last night I have some issue in Passive node now i want uninstall SQL 2012 server from passive node. Does anyone know what steps I need to take to Un-Install SQL Server 2012 from the passive node and then re-install with the right configuration

New fileshare ressource fail on the second node
Hello guys, I need your help about a new fileshare that I create on a cluster ressource. I created the new fileshare as the old ones already excist on the same ressource. When I try to do a failover to the second node, the old fileshares bring online. But the new one no, and that's make the ressource in faulted state. I transfer the ressource to the first node, and all fileshares bring online including the new created. Conclusion : the fileshare can brings online on the first node but fails on the second node. I checked the configuration between the olds fileshare and this new one, and I didn't find any difference. Can you please help me about this issue. Thank you in advance.
