Proper Cold Reboot of Appliance with 3 StorageShelves
Hello Everyone, I would like to ask for guidance on the proper way to perform a cold reboot of the appliance with three connected shelf storages. I want to ensure that there will be no data loss when performing the cold reboot. My appliance model is 5240. Thank you for your assistance.21Views0likes2CommentsFlex 5260 help with API
Hello everyone, I am currently struggling with finding up-to-date resource regarding the available API endpoints for Flex 6.0. The closest i got was to https://sort.veritas.com/public/documents/FAPP/6.0/veritas5260/productguides/html/flex-restapis-6.0/ but even those are documented very poorly. Their github has last update 2 years ago and contains strange endpoints which in reality dont appear to exist, e.g. /api/appliance/v1.0/netbackup/checkpoints. Swagger would be helpful to at least test the commands but Swagger URL which i found here https://www.veritas.com/support/en_US/doc/139332629-144656221-0/v143532640-144656221 doesnt work for me at all, i get 404. Any hints?90Views0likes2CommentsNeed urgent help with Appliance network reconfig

Hello I am wondering what are the speeds you are achieving with Copilot for Oracle on NBU appliances - I am specifically taking about Backup from Snapshot step (its copying the data from share to msdp on the same appliance) - in configuration with NetBackup Copilot with Oracle Accelerator (Oracle's Incremental Merge). In environment I do manage we do have 3 such backups configured. Each is using its own NBU appliance, two streams, NBU appliances are 5250's and I do see such speeds for this Backup From Snapshot step: 700 MB/s 396 MB/s 308 MB/s So out of these three appliances only one is performing well and its a benchmark for the other two which are not even close to first one. I am wondering what values you are seeing in your environment. Please share if you can. Also I am wondering how NBU 5350 could have improved above backup approach - as 5250 can only have standard share - while the 5350 optimized share. What is the benefit of the optimized share?832Views0likes1Commentsysadmin user
We are trying to upgrade our netbackup appliance from 3.1.2 to 4.1 and I have ran the Readiness Analyzer to make sure we are ready. One of the steps it is requiring is to change the default password on some of the accounts. One account it is requesting to change is the 'sysadmin' account. I see no account in the appliance for this, could this be the IPMI port? and if so, is there a way to change the password for it thru the CLISH? This is at a remote site for us.Solved1.8KViews0likes2Comments(CEP-17703) - All Flash Storage
