0xe000848c - Unable to attach to a resource.

HI there,

i would like to ask about my restore problem on oracle.

once i configure and it's configure correctly and then i try to restore the Oracle backup to another machine i got this error:

 

0xe000848c - Unable to attach to a resource. 

i've follow any other suggestion, but the error still same, 

once i try to change the credential, and the error credential appears.

my assumption, the restore failed due to unable to see the source instead of target/

any one has idea about this?

    Hi,

     

    I already follow those instruction, but no one can help me.

    i found the answer by following add oracle setting instruction plus, add the IP address on configuration not only the hostname.

    even i already set it on /etc/hosts on both media server and client target database.

    i even can ping using both IP and hostname, but this configuration still needed.

    You have not mentioned the steps that you have performed to restore to different Oracle server.

    Have you followed steps in BE manual?
