Advanced Open File

Hi all,

I have a task  in backup exec 20.1 to backup my ERP.

Yesterday, I ran a test restore and figure out an corrupted file. I think it's because the service is running when the backup task runs.

I can't stop the service to execute the backup. So, which configuration I can set to backup correctly this file?

Actually, Advanced Open File Option is below. As you can see, its in PTBR, but I believe there's no problem to understand.

    You should talk to you ERP vendor for details of how to backup their product (it is possible thay have some kind of dump to file process and/or an ability to freeze activity to allow a backup)

     

    Backup Exec's open file technology may be able top protect it, however it is also possible that

    - some files may be locked in a way that means they cannot be snapped/backed up

    - any backup will be inconsistent and therefore cause problems at restore time
