Backup Exec 11D(7170) wont backup remote 64bit
Hello,
I got this problem with a new Backup Exec installation,
it is a simple server setup with 4 servers, 1 media server(32bit) and 3 remote agents.
2 agents are just 32bit and the backup goes fine,
only 1 agent is 64 bit(because of exchange 2k7 on windows 2003x64).
Now the issue is related to that last agent, for some reason no backups can be made of that server.
I have checked the 64bit server Remote Agent configuration, it has the media server configured.
I can browse the 64bit server from the media server.
Only when I start a backup this just keeps running without actually backing up data.
Looking at the Remote Agent utility on the 64bit server, I can see the job starting, but no data being processed.
When I cancel the job on the Mediaserver, the remote agent continues to report there is a backup running.
The only way to solve this is to restart the Remote Agent service, but still no backup is possible afterwards.
Can anyone advice me what to do or check? Since this all seems kinda weird to me.
