backup exec 12.5 V-79-57344-65225 - A failure occurred accessing the Writer metadata.

Hi everybody,

I got a customer with this error message : V-79-57344-65225 - A failure occurred accessing the Writer metadata. This point to a SQL database.

The operating system is windows 2008 R2 ( of course a 64 bits OS) with SQL 2008.

Anybody have an idea to resolve this issue ?

    Is Backup Exec server patched with latest hotfix available for WIndows 2008 R2 support? Make sure apply the hotfix and push the remote agnet to the target server. Also, check the writer status on the target server. Which writer is this error message related to? Can you look into more detailed message in the job log, that tells the name of the writer?
