What am I missing here? Windows 2012 Beta builds as early as Sept 2011, RTM available in Aug 2012, and general release in Sept 2012.
Thats an entire year for OEM's and partners to test Windows 2012.
BackupExec 2012 was released around March 2012, a full 6 months AFTER Microsoft's release date. You would think that even then, perhaps within a few months, perhaps with SP1, Win2012 support would have been available. Last year!!
What a serious black eye for Symantec here.
Then again historically this has been the norm for Symantec with not supporting major OS's right out of the gate. 12.5 didn't supporrt Win2k8 as a media server for a long time, only as a client. Don't get me started on R2... 2010 was not without issues until R2 and R3. Even still BE2010 can't support Win2012 as a client yet right?
