What is the advantage or disadvantage of Backup Exec vs System Recovery in a 2012R2 Hyper-V with one vitual machine?

So BE supports Tape, and instant recovery of VMs (hyper-v and VMware). It really depends on your needs. BESR may be all you need. I would look at each feature set and consider what works best for you.
