Eject tape automatically after a job that contains 1 full and 4 incremental backups
Hi all, Maybe this is already answerred in the past but I could not find it, if it is a double entry then my apologies upfront. I am from local support and I support multiple countries and every country has at least 1 server running, all these servers are on the same schedule introduce by our storage team but also all have the same failure and the storage team is not able to resolve it, so I thought to raise an question here. Recently (4 weeks ago) the company moved away from daily full backups to 1 full backup and 4 incremental backups on the smaller remotely supported sites. All servers run backup exec 2012 version 14.0 Rev. 1798 and all run the same schedule, 1 job created containing 1 full backup on Friday 10pm and 4 incremental backups on Monday to Thursday 11pm. The tapes are swapped every Friday, so want we want to accomplish is that the tapes automatically eject after a succesfull Thusday backup, and here is the fault, currently it ejects after the Friday succesfull full backup, while the tape should not be ejected, I went into the schedule of the job and I found that the option eject after succesfull full backup was selected, so unchecking this option would prevent that, but when the storage team unchecked this option and enabled this option with the incremental backup it started to eject the tape after a succesfull incremental backup, so the question is, is it possible to have 1 job consisting 1 full backup on friday and 4 incremental backups on mon to Thursday and eject the tape after the Thursday backup? I have a SharePoint 2013 server that backs up just fine under DocAve using credentials that have admin access to both the server and the database. When I try to back it up under BE15, the job cannot authenticate with the Configuration database when I try a SharePoint farm backup even though it connects with the other SharePoint databases. The agent is up to date. The standard backup as a file server works though.518Views0likes2CommentsDAG credential error and PDDE service can't start

Hi I have a series of jobs setup in Backup Exec and some of them randomly fail with credential errors on the target server. Without any changes these jobs sometimes work fine. Event Viewer on the target machine shows authentication failures from the Default Account and Sytem Logon Account I'm guessing this is because of the Sytem Logon Account which was setup by a previous IT Support provider. I've tried amending the accounts but have had the following difficulties - I can't delete or edit the Sytem Logon Account because it is used by 'users' who no longer exist in BE/AD or won't accept the password for the owner account. I cannot edit other logon accounts because BE does not accept the password of the 'Owner' even though it is correct in AD. A Logon Account exists using an old AD account name - the AD account still exists but has been renamed. Is there a way I can completely 'blitz' these accounts in 'Logon Account Management'? I'm left with no way of editing them as they don't accept the passwords I have. Thanks KevSolved7.5KViews0likes13CommentsBE15 custom report run get unknown reason 10

I have installed Backup Exec 2014 on a new server. On some servers when a full backup is succesful completed there is not any .dr file created. The green dot for SDR is lit and there is no fault in any log files. This is happening on random servers with different server OS. The only thing is that, remote agent for BE 2012 have been installed in must of the servers once before and have been updated to the new version I have tried to uninstall the agent and the agent with no change to the problem. I have re-created the backup jobs. I have installed BACK EXEC 2014 on a different server. Hope that the community can help2.8KViews0likes10Comments
