Backup from USB\Firewire\eSATA question

Hi,

Is it possible, using a standard Backup Exec install, to backup from external storage devices that are connected locally using USB, Firewire and eSATA?

I'm pretty sure USB works, but I need to check the other options will work before i order some external storage and then find out it doesn't work!!
