Thanks so much for reply, i heard that upgrade was pulled from support engineer and he also told me that unfortuantelly the only way to extend my partition would be to do reinstall of the appliance which i am not keen on doing unfortunatelly. Can you share that command with me that would allowed me to resize /root partition? I am not that verse in linux.
Thanks so much for your help.
Hi Marvin_Z,
Sorry to say that I'm not a linux expert and if Veritas suport team dont want to change it. You might be in trouble.
Only advice I can give you is to lookup a linux expert to assist.
I did find a few online threads from RedHad explaing rezise partition, but use with caution you might break the appliance.

Two things to try before you go into the wildly-unsupported area of Linux commands:
1) Grab the Upgrade Analyzer package for v3.1.2 from https://www.veritas.com/support/en_US/article.100040055.html and run it. I've seen that mysteriously clean up /boot before for some reason.
2) Reboot the appliance.
Best of luck, and feel free to log a case complaining about the default size of their /boot filesystems, it's been a pain for a while now. =)
