Backup time increased to 9 hrs from 2 hrs after reinstalling FAST

Would the reinstallation of Dell's FAST (Flexible Array Storage Tool) cause this dramatic increase in Backup time? Getting ready to add more disks to our RAID5 system and am concerned about the backups still running during production hours. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

  • Hello,

Usually the reinstallation should not cause this phenomenal change in the backup speed. Had you done any other changes on the system?
