Compatibility Backup Exec 11d and Autoloaders LTO4

Hi,

i need an answer for my question.

We still make backups with BackupExec 11d with Exchange Remote Agent. At the moment we have a single LTO2 backup drive.

Now we want to change the drive and buy an Autoloader, such like the TandbergData StorageLoader 1HE LTO-4 SCSI.

Is it supported by BackupExec 11d or have i to do an upgrade to a higher version of BackupExec?

There is also the TandbergData StorageLoader 1HE LTO-3 SCS. Is this supported by 11d.

    If you want to use the latest hardware, you should consider upgrading to BE 2010 R3 which is the latest version.  You can upgrade BE 11d directly to BE 2010 R3 and it is a free upgrade if you have a current maintenance contract.  BE 11d is rather old is a couple of version behind.

    11d, 12, 12.5, BE2010, BE2010 R2, BE2010 R3...  Not to mention each version has had a plethora of service packs....

    11d is from the early 2000's!
