Does Linux agent enable "bare metal" restore?

We currently run BackupExec 8.6 for our Windows servers but as the Linux agent doesn't enable us to do bare metal restores to restore a whole linux server back to it's previous state (done by using System state in Windows) we have to use another product.

My question is does version 10.0 and its respective Linux agents now enable this kind of Linux restore. We are re-visiting our whole backup strategy and are concerned that moving to 10.0 will not give us everything we require.

Any help/info greatly appreciated.

    Hi,

    Bare metal restore is only available with Netbackup . However Intelligent Disaster recovery of Linux is not yet supported by Backup Exec.
