Duplication job supersede!
Hi All,
I am implementing a backup schedule as below:
Monday - Thurday : Incremental backup
Friday : Fullbackup ( Known as Weekly backup) --> duplicate to tape ( weekly to tape)
Last saturday of a month: Duplicate most recent full backup job to tape ( Monthly to tape)
Last saturday of a year : Duplicate most recent full backup to tape ( yearly to tape)
However all duplication jobs do not supersede each other like when i implement full/incremental backup job. Please have a look at pic below. Can anyone help me please ?
You don't have to worry about the duplicate jobs. If there is no backup job, then the duplicate job will not execute. For example, your monthly backup job supercedes your weekly job which does not execute, then the duplicate job for he weekly job will not execute.
