Duplicating tapes fails: INF - Cannot obtain resources for this job : error [167]
Netbackup 9.1.0.1 on Linux master server. There are no other media servers in the environment.
We are replacing our old LTO5 tape library with a new LTO8 library.
Most of our backups for this account are short term so we will just let them age out. But a few are long-term retention and need to be copied over to new tape before we decommission the old library since the LTO8 drives won't be able to read the old LTO5 tapes.
We have no disk storage units, only tape.
So... both libraries are connected to the master server, there is plenty of available media and all drives are up. There are available drives in both libraries. I can write backups to either.
Yet, when I issue the command, it says it can't obtain resources.
[root@wtcbakalb001 admincmd]# ./bpduplicate -backupid WTCDSPALB001_1598047243 -cn 1 -dcn 2 -dstunit wtcbakalb001-hcart3-robot-tld-1

Apparently bpduplicate won't grab a tape from the SCRATCH pool. I created a new pool ArchiveLTO8 and put a tape in it. Then I reran the command adding a destination pool, and it is running now.
