How to make a new tape appendable?

Hi everyone,

I am new with Bacup Exec 2010 and I have got the next issue:

Cenario:  A backup duplicate job runs every wednesdays in a tape, the job is appendable and if no appendable tape found then overwriten. Also the overwrite period was selected to 0 hours and the append period was 1 day.

The tape that was in use just torn, I have replacet te old tape with a new, the same one, and then labeled the tape. 

Now the overwrite period is empty (nothing selected) and the append period is also empty (also nothing selected). The duplicate is not appending but only overwriting in a new tape were are inoff space for append. In the job the overwrite and append period still the same (0 hours and 1 day), but in devices description of the tape = (nothing [overwrite] and nothing [append]).

How can I make the new tape appendable as the previous one?
