If you choose 1. overwrite media, then the next job will write to a new tape.

If you keep your present option which is append to media, then the next job will write to the tape which was used by the previous job provided there is space on the tape.  You can see how this work by keeping your present append to media option, go to the media tab and click on the tape in your  media set that was last used.  Take note of the amount of data on the tape and the amount of space left.  After your next job, you would see more data on the tape and less space left.  Then change to overwrite media.  You should see the next job writing to a new tape although there is space left on the tape that was used previously.
