Launch Backup Exec program, then no windows come out

Hi,
Today I try to run "Symantec Backup Exec 12.5 for Windows" on Windows 2003 Server SP2., the program shows "Loading" for about 2 minutes.
Then it windows disappear. I have restarted all Backup Exec services that include "Backup Exec Agent Browser", "Bckup Exec Device & Media Service", "Backup Exec Job Engine", "Backup Exec Remote Agent for Windows Systems" and "Backup Exec Server". But it won't help.
I also make sure both processes "Bkup"BkupExec.exe" and "BkupLnch.exe" are killed before I start program "Symantec Backup Exec 12.5 for Windows". I havent' reboot the server yet. Could anyone advise how to resolve this?

    Try patching Backup Exec with the latest service pack (SP4), and then with any remaining patches.
    Try opening it up again, and see if it works.
    If not, it can be something like an antivirus blocking it from starting up, so check the AV logs, as well as Event Viewer for any issues...
    Post the results here.

  • Try to opened Backup Exec console and when the console closes please check the Event viewer and check if there are any events generated when console closes. Check the followig technotes and confirm if the Events are similar to the one in the technotes. Perform the steps as per the technotes:

    Also this issue is resolved in SP3 of Backup Exec 12.5. So try to install the SP3 from from the following link as per the system type (32 bit or 64 bit):

    Thank you for your help. After I exit out of anti-virus software. Then Backup Exec Console comes out immediately.

    I think the solution should swing to my post...not sure that Sush suggested checking the antivirus to get it :)
