Launch Backup Exec program, then no windows come out
Hi,
Today I try to run "Symantec Backup Exec 12.5 for Windows" on Windows 2003 Server SP2., the program shows "Loading" for about 2 minutes.
Then it windows disappear. I have restarted all Backup Exec services that include "Backup Exec Agent Browser", "Bckup Exec Device & Media Service", "Backup Exec Job Engine", "Backup Exec Remote Agent for Windows Systems" and "Backup Exec Server". But it won't help.
I also make sure both processes "Bkup"BkupExec.exe" and "BkupLnch.exe" are killed before I start program "Symantec Backup Exec 12.5 for Windows". I havent' reboot the server yet. Could anyone advise how to resolve this?

Hi there,
Try patching Backup Exec with the latest service pack (SP4), and then with any remaining patches.
Try opening it up again, and see if it works.
If not, it can be something like an antivirus blocking it from starting up, so check the AV logs, as well as Event Viewer for any issues...
