Numero de errores antes de descartar una cinta

Cual es el número de errores físicos máximos recomendados antes descartar una cinta ??? cero???

    Hi there,

     

    if that tape is starting to fail your backups, I'd recommend replacing it. No sense in waiting for a certain # to pass by before trashing it, while your backups fail as a result of it being bad.

    There isn't any specific number as such....better to consult the vendor's documentation for any acceptable limit

    When a tape starts to show hard errors, it is time to replace it.  You don't want to find out that you could not restore from the tape when it comes to an emergency.
