Backup sets expiration.

I have the question. If I have a Job:  - with 1 week expiration for full backup. doing every 1 week.  - and with 1 week expitation for incremental backup. doing every 1 day. After 1 week ...

    The entire backup chain (full + incr) is only deleted after the entire chain has expired and a new backup chain has started.  Read my article below

    And question about "Storage" settings in Backup Exec Settings: "protect allocated and imported media".
    This settings refer to  tape media only?

    Can I do, that all expired sets stay in storage, until this storage isn't full and after storage is full, oldest backup sets will be deleted?

    No.  The expired chain will be deleted during the next grooming cycle.
