how to move tape back from slots

Hi Guys, Is there anyway I can move the tape back from slot without restarting BE services? Example the tape is in drive and it's currently used by a job but I want to move it back to slot and use ...

    Running an "Initialize" job on the library from within BE will ATTEMPT to put away any stray tapes into slots.  But, if the tape is not movable by BE, then neither an "Initialize" job or restarting BE service will help.  It all depends upon the exact state of the tape and the library.  HP L&TT is a good resource, as it may be able to do things that BE cannot.  A power cycle of the library may also be required.
