SQL Agent and AOFO

We have a license for the SQL Agent and a few licences for the Advanced Open File Option. The SQL Agent will be installed to our webserver. MY question is as to whether or not we need an AOFO license on our webserver too, since files will be open at the time of backup. Does SQL Agent include an AOFO-type license in it or do we net both SQL Agent and AOFO on the server? Thanks!

    Hello,
    1. The SQL agent license does not include the aofo license is not the same. Their functionalities and purposes are different.

    2. AOFO license is used to backup files that are open and that are in use at the time of backup.
    Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft Share Point, Microsoft SQL, Lotus Domino, and Oracle all have database agents. These applications do not require the use of OFO or AOFO to back up their data, nor is it recommended
