From the BE 2010 HCL, I think this is what you are looking for:

Hotfix 208828 (aka BE 2010 R3 Service Pack 4) contains the latest driver patches available for BE 2010 R3, build 5204. This includes everything from HF 208601, HF 202063 and previous DDIs.
    http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH208828

which is the same as (from the link and pic above)

    Latest Service Pack

    Backup Exec 2010 R3 SP4 - Released 2014-01-27 -
    http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH208828

Please check your adamm.log file to see how many slots the library is reporting to BE.  Feel free to post your adamm.log here and we will help decode it.  Make sure the library is configured properly from the library LCD or web interface.

Running LiveUpdate downloads the device drivers in addition to the updates. If BE is fully patched, then running tapeinst.exe uses the latest device drivers.

I am getting HW fault errors.

What type of hardware errors ? Have you run vendor diagnostics against the tape unit ?

Why are you looking for the Symantec tape drive drivers?

In the Windows Device Manager, check that your tape drive has a Symantec driver.  If it does, then you don't have to worry about anything.  When you update BE and there is a new driver, it will automatically be installed.

If you want to be sure, go to the BE installation directory and use tapeinst.exe to delete and then install the tape drive.
