Tape Library on a remote server

In my infrastruture I run a backup exec server on my local LAN and I use an iscsi Storage pool mounted to the Backup Exec Server. We are planning to install a tape Library in one of our Datacenter...

Yes. You can do so with CASO which is part of the licence

Assuming you are thinking of something like

Remote Agent Server --LAN--> Remote BE Server --WAN--> Datacenter BE Server --FC/SAN--> Datacenter Library

Then you would probably need deduplication as well as CASO (ESO)

Basically the remote BE server would do a local Backup to a Deduplication Folder that it itself owns (across the LAN)

This server would then run a duplicate job to write to a shared deduplication folder (across the WAN) that the BE Server in the Datacenter actually owns

The BE server in the Datacenter would then duplicate this set to tape locally (across the FC/SAN)

Note the Remote BE Server cannot write directy to the Datacenter Library - although you could possibly omit the remote BE server and still use Dedup configured on the BE DataCenter server such that the remote agent does the deduplication processing (client side deduplication)
