Unexpected Shutdown (12d)

Ok so I have a puzzle.  I have a SBS2003 R2 server with an external Dell RD1000.  I have reverted to the RDXmon v1.12 utility because after a backup job the drive will not eject the cartridge...however the puzzle is that in the last month the server has unexpectedly shutdown during the backup job twice.  I mean literally turned off.  Not restarted...just OFF!  The server has a UPS and if I look at the event logs the only thing happening during that time is the Backup Exec job, LiveUpdate and Volume Shadow Copy services starting and stopping.  Power the server back on and everything is fine...except the backup job fails of course.

 

Any suggestions appreciated.

    Had a similar problem.  Turned out to be the volume shadow copy service.  Turned that option off in the properties of the backup and no more problems.
