Upgrade to 11d from 10d Is it worth it?

Read several horror stories about 11d, so are they planning to release a service pack to fix the bugs? Are there really any bugs? Any info on this would be helpful before deciding on the upgrade. Thanks

  • Are there really any bugs!?!?!? hahahaha
I had a full head of hair before doing this upgrade.

I would definitely wait before upgrading.
  • Do you speak german? Then read this:

That answers all your questions about the update ;-)
  • I would recommend upgrading if the following apply to you:

You have lots of extra time that you need to fill with waiting on hold with support, answering the same questions over and over, and links to solutions that have nothing to do with today's problem.

Your backups aren't important OR they are and you want a innovative way to trigger a job change.
  • If you do upgrade, DON'T implement GRT( individual restore of mail messages in Exchange and individual restore of documents in Sharepoint). This feature is obviously a BETA version that was not thoroughly tested. It will corrupt your tapes making the data unreadable.
  • Eddie:

I am curious to know how GRT Is corrupting your tapes, could you please provide your e-mail address so we can discuss this in detail?

  • Joshua,

your link to free e-mail support redirects you back to using the forum. More details about the GRT tape issue are posted in thread http://forums.symantec.com/discussions/thread.jspa?threadID=71862&messageID=4476441#4476441
  • Eddie:

I will look into your other thread. And as for my link. If you are having install issues, then e-mail support is avaliable, some of the other requests will be routed back through the forums.
