  • Are you facing above issue for any specific sever?

Make sure you have installed all the latest patches for BE and updated the remote agent too.

    Refer to http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH71227

  • Create dummy files at the locations indicated by the error messages.

  • Have you attempted the solutions mentioned on this technote? http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH126412

    S3CAP.SYS or STORFLT.SYS

    Error:
VSS Snapshot warning. File c:\windows\system32\drivers\storflt.sys is not present on the snapshot.

    Solution:
Perform the one of following steps to allow the backups to complete as normal
    1. Use Notepad or WordPad to create a blank document
    2. Rename the document to match the same file within the Backup Exec job log
    3. Place the file in the same directory as the missing file
    4. After the copy is complete, perform backups as normal

For more information on storflt.sys and s3cap.sys plese refer to the following Microsoft KB article:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/971527 - Event log reporting storflt driver failed to load on restart after you install Windows Server 2008 SP2

    Edited:
yes these are the steps for creating dummy files and a technote containing them!
  • Files (storflt.sys & s3cap.sys ) always exist in c:\windows\system32\drivers

  • BE will throw exceptions if the files are missing at the time of backup and this will not cause backup

failure. As per the original post your bakcups are failing due connection issue (may be network issue)
