V-79-57344-65218 - A failure occurred accessing the SnapShot handle.

Hi Guys,

I have this two problem with symantec backup exec R2


V-79-57344-65218 - A failure occurred accessing the SnapShot handle.

with the followinf details : V-79-57344-33918 - ADBO: Offhost backup initialization failure on: "servername.domainname".
Snapshot provider error (0xE000847E): This edition of the product is not licensed for the requested operation

 

and the other is

V-79-57344-65218 - A failure occurred accessing the SnapShot handle.

with the details: Check the Windows Event Viewer for details.
ADBO: Offhost backup failed. Attempting to back up volumes directly from the remote computer.
V-79-57344-34108 - An unexpected error occurred when cleaning up snapshot volumes. Confirm that all snapped volumes are correctly resynchronized with the original volumes.

these is related to sharepoint server and instance name for sql cluster

Please advice..

    Are you licenced for ADBO?  If you are licenced for ADBO, go to Tools --->  Install Options and Licence Keys and make sure that you have entered the ADBO licence correctly.

    If you are not licenced fo ADBO, make sure that this option is not checked in your job.

    Also, do uncheck "Collect additional information for synthetic backup" option from the backup /policy properties

    Thx for the replay...

    actualy its already un-checked because i dont have license ADBO and also the "Collect additional information for synthetic backup" uncheked...

    any farther support is most welcome

    Change value from 1 to 0 for Hkey_Local_Machine\Software\Symantec\Backup exec for windows\Backup Exec\Engine\Misc\Use Offhost Backup key

    Recycle all BE services & create a new backup with a new selection list & re-attempt the backup
