Hello,
How many server are you backing up in the job? Are you referring to the remote agent crashing on the media server or any toher server?
Ensure that the service is running under the local system account. In case it is a remote server, download the TCP view and make sure that port 10000 is listening on beremote:
http://www.sysinternals.com/Utilities/TcpView.html
Revert with details if the issue persists. Also check if there are any Backup exec related errors in the Windows event logs.
Note : If we do not receive your reply within two business days, this post would be marked assumed answered and would be moved to answered questions pool.
Regards.
