Speeding up console
Is there any configuration changes we can make on the server side to speed up the console such as browsing the workspace? Browsing the workspace is pretty slow such as getting audit data or just getting permission info.
The server is not running low on memory or CPU.
We're running DI 4.0.

Browsing in the console is reliant on the web server and the java memory assigned. As an administrator on the server which is hosting the webserver the file (default location ) C:\Program Files\Symantec\DataInsight\bin\WebServerService.vmoptions can be modified to increase the available memory to the console and allow for better performance.
Within the limitations of the Java Virtual Machine and your physical RAM change the value of
-Xmx1024m
beyond one gigabyte in ranges of megabytes a gigabyte at a time.
Depending on the Operating System limitation 3072 would be a large size.
You will be required to restart the service afterward:
C:\Program Files\Symantec\DataInsight\bin>net start |findstr DataInsight
DataInsightComm
DataInsightConfig
DataInsightFpolicy
DataInsightHttpd
DataInsightWatchdog
DataInsightWeb **
