Speeding up console
Is there any configuration changes we can make on the server side to speed up the console such as browsing the workspace? Browsing the workspace is pretty slow such as getting audit data or just getting permission info. The server is not running low on memory or CPU. Hello, I am attempting to integrate Data Insight with Enterprise Vault. On the Data Insight server I: Click on Settings. Click on Data Mangement. Enter the IP address of the EV server. I had used port 443 but I was having issues connecting the the EV server. Can you confirm that the port is 443? Cheers Cameron Mottus1.1KViews0likes2CommentsDQL Report does not output to 1 file 5.0.1
I am using DI 5.0.1 and I am not able to have the DQL report to output to 1 single file. Is anyone else having this issue? I have a DQL query and when I am pulling some of the AD Attributes, it will separate the files. I even have put 'format user AS csv' at the end and it still puts it into multiple files. From user get name, principal_name, login, Home_directory, Department If Home_Directory not in ('nowhere') format user AS CSV; Please help!3.2KViews1like3CommentsTracking who deleted a file or folder w/ Data Insight
Can I leverage Data Insight to track down who deleted a file or a folder? Use case: Someone calls the Helpdesk saying that Super Important folder is missing and they need to be able to access that folder. So I open up data insight and navigate to the filer and show who deleted that file? Or is this not a proper use case of the system?Solved1.1KViews1like1CommentProgramatically Query all files a user has permisisons to
Hello crew, I am wondering if this is possible at all to make Data Insight spit out a list of all the files a user has access to. I have no idea how to write a DQL report. Does anyone know if there is a spot to go to to get reports that others have written? If not how would I pull a report like this I need to sort and calculate by inferred ownership. We would like to see the full path for the files they own. We want to see the file size, and be able to filter the report by Last Accessed date so that we can see files that are say 5 years old or older on the last access date. I have a potential opportunity for Data Insight with a focus around leveraging the Data Insight Query Language and am looking for additional help. I am starting to look at the Data Insight SDK guide to understand things but have one quick question (and perhaps many more difficult ones) The first question is, can I create variables/tokens within the syntax of the DQL and pass it through the Data Insight Report builder or do I have to leverage an outside process and call the SDK somehow? So the example is to query the Data Insight data for all shares with a specific name in it. Would I be able to token this within the Data Insight UI so each time the report ran it prompted me for the value or would I have to create separate form to pass this into the query? I am still gathering new information and will update this post when that is available.1.4KViews6likes1CommentDQL: Sum the Sum of Total Access, Exporting Dashboards
Is there a way to use DQL to demonstrate the sum of the sum of total access for sites? For example, you can generate reports to showthe number of people with access levels ofcreate, read, write, and delete per site, but can you also demonstrate that total per person? We are looking to determine an individual's level of access to each site monitored by DI, summed per level of access. In addition to this, can you export the graphs and dashboards generated to Excel? You can save the raw data in table format, but the graphs would also be helpful. Thanks! Evan1.9KViews1like8CommentsDI Reporting Issue
I attempted to add my questionsas acomment on a similar DI Reporting Issue forum, but I'm not sure if my response was received. Here is my question: I have ran into a couple issues with reporting in DI: Is there a way to display more than the top 5 of users when the “include custom attributes of user” radio button is selected? To put this into context, see the attached report titled "Raw-AccessSummary.xlsx". In this scenario, I have selected toshowTitle and Country, but it only shows the information for the "Top Users". Stemming from the first question, I've noticed that outputsgenerated by reports with the same queries, but in different categories, yield different results. To put this into context, see the attached report titled "Raw-InactiveUsers.xlsx". In this situation, I've selected Titleand Country and itdisplays all oftheInactive Users; however, in the Access Summary report (first attachment) when I selected the same thing, it onlydisplays the top users (as stated above). Please let me know if there is a quick fix to these issues, and thanks for your help!! Evan **all sensitive information was removed from the reportsSolved844Views0likes1Comment
