Install DLO in the absence of an Active Directory

HI there,

my customer has 3 different sites, each with about 100 users. We need to protect user data on all user laptops and desktops. The customer doesn't have any Active Directory installed.

Will DLO work in this situation?

Thanks for your quick response.

  • If you review the 'Installation Quick reference' or 'Administration Guides' this is discussed, but unfortunately DLO has a requirement of an Active Directory Domain to operate. The Client machines can be in a local Workgroup but when they first run the DLO Client, they will be prompted to authenticate with an AD User account. The DLO Administration Server will not even install on a machine that is not in a Domain and will generate an error advising this when the installation is attempted.
