'Search Terms' within DA Interface

What version of DA?

You can add multiple lines in one search terms box and then decide what condition to use, rather the multiple lines needs to be "All of" or "Any of".

For users that aren't in Custodians, you could add them as a Target from the Custodians tab.

So the 4 condition that we are using 'search term' for is all keyword with 'Any Of' and there are lots of them.

Do you think i can put those all keyword in 1 search term and use another as 'TO/From' with 'Any Of' and target it to a Custodian would gimme desired result?

Yes, that is how you would do it.  If the search terms is in the 100's you could split them up and run multiple searches.

Here is the problem!

So i got 4 set of keywords and these keywords are put in 4 different 'search terms' with (Subject or content this automatically sets 'Any of') And this search needs to be executed on certain set of people!

So i need a 5th 'Search Term' condition which i will be using as 'To or From' and target custodian.

My advice is to do 4 searches for each set of keywords.  You can title the searches based on the keyword list.  The search performance may actually be better if you split them up as well.

This will help your reviews as well when they review because they can limit the review set by search.

Be sure to check the include items in review option on the search.

The problem will be that, there would be unwanted and when we export them in PST we cannot determine them.

Is there a way within the DA tool to merge result of 2 seperate search instance and then run another instance to work on the result to get the specific result set?

All the search results for the case will show in the case review screen.  You mark the relevant results and then only export those.  That's what DA was designed to do.

This isn't working well for the requirement.....

We will need to get the 5th 'Search Term' added somehow, i looked under 'Configuration' but didn't see any thing for 'Search Term' :(

Could you elaborat on your requirement? How many keywords are you looking for? You said you have 4 sets, are you looking for messages that match any of the keywords or do you want matches only if there is a keyword from each set in the message?

Do you understand that there is an "And" between the 'Search Term' boxes? So you will put custodians in one, and then you put keywords in another and choose 'Any of' and then if you put another set of keywords in a third for a message to be responsive it will need to match the custodian list, a keyword from the first set AND a keyword from the second set.

I think you should try what I proposed early and run 1 search with the Custodians and a set of keywords.  Then run additional searches for the other sets.

Your reviewers will be able to see all the responsive hits in their review and mark the responsive items appropriately and then you can export based on that mark.

I have the following requirement

Set1 = 50 keywords
Set2 = 20 keywords
Set3 = 20 keywords
Set4 = 15 keywords

We need to discover emails which has atleast 1 word from all 4 sets, which was either to/from 20 users.

I hope i am clear enough, and these emails are going to be exported in PST for compliance purpose.
