Assigning access for ex employee mailbox

How to grant my manager access to the ex employee named Person1 in Enterprise Vault ?

so that he can just access it from the browser to the http://EVserver ?

    Open the VAC

    Navigate to archives

    Find the archive

    Right click it, and go to properties

    Go to the permissions tab

    Add in the other user, and give appropriate access (read, read/write, etc)

    Say Ok

     

    The other user will then be able to access it using search.asp, or archiveexplorerui.asp, via http://yourEVserver/EnterpriseVault/search.asp (or archiveexplorerui.asp)

    Hi,

    This might also be referring to the billing account. Change that to one to your manager.

    He doesn't mean create shortcuts, he means to open shortcuts in the users mailbox.  If you do what Rob said the manager will be able to search the archive via the web search but also will be able to open shortcuts in the users mailbox, as long as Allow Scripts In Shared Folders is checked in Outlook.
