Introducing new servers in existing environment.

We have an existing EV environment with 40 servers running on 11.0.1 CH5.

We will be introducing 20 additional servers and installing same version as per the article:

As per the CH5 document, SQL databases need to be upgraded before installing this hotfix:

Are we required to upgrade SQL databases if we are introducing new servers or can we directly go from 11.0.1 to CH5 installation?

    Anyway. As your existing environment is already on 11.0.1 CHF5, the new servers should be installed as follows: prereqs (make sure to run Deployment Scanner on them). Install EV11.0.1 (If a reboot is required, reboot). Install CHF5.

    Run Configuration to add the server to the Site.

    There is no need to run the SQL update.

      We are moving away from older hardware so after introduction of new servers, eventually, we will migrate to the new servers.

        ok. Have you considered using the Server Migration Wizard to do this?
