NETBACKUP APPLIANCE IMPLEMENTATION

Team,

I just setup my netbackup appliance 5240 and want to start backing up my database and file servers. The total size of my storage is 14TB and I have about 10 different servers to backup. Please do I need to create different storage units for the respective servers or I will backup all my servers into one storage unit.

Secondly, how can I delete backup images from a storage unit?

    Hello

    Well I think you primary STU will be MSDP - so I would created one pool for all.

    About deleting backup images - check the command bpexpdate

    Use it carefully or you will harm NBU domain

      Thank you so much quebek. This was helpful. as you said I have created the primary STU for the only MSDP pool there. It worked well. As per the delete of images, i used expired it from the netbackup catalog on the admin console. Thanks for your support.
